I have some old video from LID that I transfered to my TIVO. From there I can transfer to my PC, but thats as far as I can get. I'm getting the "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found." When I try to play it. I'm using XP which according to the TIVO site should have the correct codecs. Anyone run into this??

Also assuming I can get it to to work how do I then edit the video to cut out the parts I don't want?

Well I upgraded to WMP11 and now it gets the codec, but still errors with "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. For additional assistance, click Web Help."

Doesn't like my sound card. This PC is about 9 years old so I'm not going to upgrade it.

Sorry.. can't help you on the video problem, but speaking of video, I'll be looking for anyone to shoot some video at my first event at the coliseum (the Holeshot Drags"). It's the first event, so it would be cool to get some footage of it.
