Reputation

I've enabled the "Reputation" system... Now when you see a post that you like, you can click on the little scale icon below the user's name to add to their reputation. Also, if you see a post that you don't like, you can also take away from their reputation by clicking the same icon.

Under each user's post count on their posts there is a little green or red icon. The better your reputation, the more green you'll have. The worse it is, the more red you'll have.

Keep in mind that when you give out or take away reputation to another user, it will affect your own reputation!

That's what I'm thinking...

Keep in mind that us moderators can see the comments that you leave for other users where you add or take away from their reputation! If it gets out of hand we'll shut it down again. We're all adults here (although we don't all act like it) so I think we can handle it.

Ahhhh, it's not bad. I post on backpage and they have the reputation thing over there too. It is a pretty wild board and it is moderated so it isn't like c/l. And it is interesting at times. I find criticism, within reason, helpful.

every forum i am on has the rep points but to take them away because you dont like a post....i dont think is a good idea. it should only be if you like something...i.e. good post good sale, good information etc.

i never use the rep point systems on any boiard. If i like something i post it if not i post it. Its fairly simple. I don't need any "gold stars" or anything like that. But I hope the children can use it properly.
