I'm thinking about selling my Duster. It's been sitting in the garage since last year, I can't get motivated to put it back together just so I can drive to Jersey. Plus I think I'd like to have something I can cruise around instead of racing... for now, anyway.

Info about the car here: http://www.burwoodboysracing.com/about_the_car.htm

Any ideas on what it'd be worth, with and without the motor?

Sorry to here Mike but I understand where your comming from. Can you step your car down a little to make it streetable? You already own it,maybe a few changes could make it a cruiser. There's a guy in my welding class who works at Browns on 112 and he said Chrysler was selling off some of their crate stock cheap.Hemi's $3,000!!!This way if something ever comes of all this shit we've been doing you can go back to your original setup.

I would think about setting the car up for the street also. That is the way my car is set up since at best I only make the track a few times a year myself. Last year I was only out once. The motor I just built for it is worked but streetable. Insurance is nothing I spend $190.00 a year with a 20K replacement cost for the car. I look at the car as my mental therapy from the world.

Who do you get coverage like that from?

Grundy. I have the monte under them, $203 a year, $12000.00 full coverage including no deduct., Glass coverage and roadside assistance.

Mine is a little higher because its not a "classic" and its not worth as much "blue book" wise. My father had the 70 cutty with them $110 a year 12k coverage.

Don't they have mileage restrictions? Grundy doesn't.

Mike call my INS guy and drive that...

There ain't no reason that couldn't be driven everyday.

I drive my cars, everything can be driven, your biggest mod for the street might...might be losing that moroso elec pump...

I still got that housing for you kid!

But dont you guys still need to get liability from a standard insurer? 50/100/50 etc.
You are only discussing replacement policies correct?

Nope. Grundy is the only ins. you need. They cover everything. Comp. Coll. Fire, Theft, etc.

It is a complete insurance. As shaft said you have to submit the car is stored in a garage and that you have a primary vehicle one drives everyday in your name. That was my biggest problem for me with the insurance since my primary vbehicle is a pickup which is registered in my company's name. They at first did not want to give it to me for that reason.

I still haven't decided what I'm gonna do. You guys are right, now is probably not the best time to be selling the car. But it's so far from even passing a safety inspection from the street, it'll take a lot of work to turn it back into a street car. And I've got no money to put into it right now so there's no way I'm going anything with it. Maybe next year...

I say keep it and try to get it on the road next year. I had a six year period myself where the fundings did not warrant having the car, but I am glad I held on to it in the end. I tell you I also had a 59 ford galaxie that I sold during that period and I regret it all the time.

I had to roll the Duster out of the garage the other day so I could fix the springs on one of the garage doors... as soon as I sat in it and put my hand on the Quarter Stick I told my wife "there's no way I'm selling this car".

So... The heads that were on the bench are back on the engine. I'm looking for an intake now. Anybody got an Edelbrock Air Gap for a small block Mopar?

Thats the ticket big guy,, ya fix it, ya clean it, ya bring it out for nostalgia and FAST days. I am now kicking my own azz for letting the S-10 go.
But I AM on the hunt to replace it with some thing older. most likely an HA/GR .
