I received this e-mail from Sean earlier today:
I am a pro race track guy. Unfortunately we are in contract with the Ski Mountain People and we have to let that contract run its course. If they don't develop the property or they pull out of the contract if I am elected I will revisit the race track idea.
Do you tink he would support another location if we could find one.I asked Marty on the LIMA board about the Rechler site at Calverton where they are developing commercial property if something could be incorporated into that plan, dual purpose,he said they weren't into racing just commercial stuff.Working in commercial reality most of my life one thing I know is tht if owners can squeeze another nickle out of a property they will.I've always thought it could be a good compromise

I received this e-mail from Sean earlier today:
That is great news. We need to put our person in office.
I did some research on the last election.
Riverhead had 19,307 voters registered. Out of the 19,307 voters only 8,377 cast their vote. Low turnout.
Cardinale won by only 1,500 votes. :(
We should put together information flyers supporting our candidate or join his campaign.
The mountain will fail and with the right person in office we are on the right path again.

Cardinale
You missed some fun times when we were helping out Jim Stark two years ago. The average voter is pretty vacant. It is sad.
We have some support still on the board. Of the two candidates that got elected last time (Wooten and Buckley) one is still serving. The other stepped down for some reason that escapes me at the moment. So if we can regain that seat, and get a change in the supervisors office, things can happen.

There are 4 up for spots........
Tim resigned...
Blass is out... hopefully so is cardinale...and dun Technically we shouldn't have to do anything, but people didn't listen last term and we were right about it all even and including the towns budget... I am not even taking into account money they counted before they got so there probably far deeper with rechler eq wanting to reneg
