Looks as if the imp was spraying...see it turn on 30' out... They kept the dodge that was filming all 3 out of the shot...
It was a dodge that spanked the 1963 fuel injected corvette..... by a full second
I never understood why you gm and ford guy's are so worried about who's 2nd ?

Hey that was the car with the professional driver, did you not pay attention to the narrator? He pulled all his gears no problem Geeze:D
If you want to see real gear slamming watch this one with Strickler in his flame resistant shorts. If it does not play hit the top of the header and it will play in another window

Yep just as i figured i knew strickler was a winner, not a runner up...

Something is wrong with my computer and I cant get the sound to work, I just took a guess about 2nd gear, it looked like the ford fell flat on its nose !

I read on another board that they used a DODGE as the camera car so they could always get the coming at ya shot!

Cowbay,

Did you ever see a Z11 run in person? :3gears:
If you look at pictures of the Z11 head the intake runners are raised and look like the rectangular ports used in the next gen big block.
Chevrolet Engineers were experimenting with the rectangular intake ports that were used in the later 396-427-454 engines.

Never seen one run all out. They had the strickler car at musclepalooza a few years back were it made a show pass down the track, but the backed off right after 300'
