I took that helicopter ride many times. What happened? Fear of ___________ in "thier" community. Bias. Memories of facilities who were "bad" nieghbors. A phone call to a legislator who pulled a string. Not enough folks willing to give up a Sunday for a good cause. A lost opportunity for sure. Onward.

Well, for one I guess they bought my friends house.
The scale is not really close either.
It dosent matter anyway, there is no dragstrip.

Revisiting the past.What if a few thousand people showed up that Sunday at the F14 spot.But Suicide pointed out the tough sell there was no drag strip in the design.When I was going around hawking this at shows that was the exact response I got by people that checked it out.The sell was the straight away on the road course blinked yellow that was the drag strip.This goes back to the don't say drag strip days we don't want to go there again it got ugly we need beauty.
The problem is drag racers make up the majority of the motorsports movement so in someway any plan must incorporate a drag strip to get the support of drag racers.Lets see how this Dixee Drags plan moves foward,I think it could stimulate intrest from those that have given up,a beautiful thing.

Why dosent RR but the 14 acers next door to it?
They could build a drag strp there and the place could get the face lift it badly needs.
The grafiti and garbage dumped in the back is a nice touch.

That was the problem I always had with that deal... Yeah, they'll be a "hidden" dragstrip, but don't tell about about it. Ssssshhhh. Stupid.

They aren't selling the property, and the kid who was doing the graffiti was from yaphank and was just arrested the other day... So saying the track needs something to do, due to other peoples pos issues isn't right, or the local govt putting all kinds of unfair business practices against it...

I will post his name and address on LIMA for anyone that is interested..

As for the dragstrip in RHT on RR prop, you are all aware that RHT has a 28 day use per year for any motorsports facility within it's area..

There will be no way RR could ever do both, this is why there are issues there, not enough time to make those divisions that run there happy.
Had we would have won Epcal that was the next fight, had i told anyone that info earlier everyone would have given up..

No it can not, everything has to go before RHT, they can't update stands, add or change a sign, timing tower...anything unless it is approved by RHT.... Guess what else is hated in RHT...
