Draft LID Decal Logo.

The colors got washed out because I had to scan it into the computer.

We can use these to hand out at car shows.

The decal measures about 4 3/8" Wide x 3" High.

Not bad,but I think decals to be placed on cars should be a member item.Put the word member on the decal.We could print up flyers for those that just want to check us out.Have a sign up sheet at shows those that do get a decal.Any idea of cost.If we could each put a little in the pot so one person doesn't have to.Do this by PM to the one who can get it done so those that are a little tight right now wount be pointed out.

Hey, I'm back. Have had a lot of crazy shit going on lately, I'm gonna try to be here more.

I like the decal and really appreciate the effort you put into it! I've been wanting to do something like that for a while but don't have the skillz to get it done. Thanks for stepping up!

Anyway... Long Island Drag Racing and LIMA are two seperate sites with two seperate objectives. I would prefer to not have them both on the same sticker otherwise people will get all sorts of confused. They can get to here from there and to there from here, that's enough I would think.

Some suggestions for the layout:
- Can you make it say "Long Island Drag Racing Member" instead of "Member Long Island Drag Racing"?
- Next to the tree, where it has the URL and everything, can you make a bullet list instead with the info that's in the box? Like:
- Message Board
- Photo Albums
- Classifieds
- Chat
- Can you put the URL across the bottom instead of where it is now?

Just some suggestions, if everybody else likes it how it is now I'm cool with that too. Let us know how much they're gonna cost, and if there's any breaks on quantity.

its nice. dont get me wrong, but if we are sticking them on cars....i think it should be simple.
something we can put on the rear driver side and passenger door.
i.m.o that is to much to read, especially if you are driving, if you were thinking about putting on the rear window, thats all well and good but you cant see it driving, only parked @ a show.

Thanks for all the feedback.

The decal would be about 3" x 5" in size.

It will be placed on the side rear window of members vehicles. It was never intended to be read while driving or placed in the rear window.

The decal would also be used when we sign people up at car shows. When they sign up they receive a decal.

But the words Race will jump out of the sticker and grab the racer by his eye balls and make him/her read the rest of it. then add Long Island and the racer in/from LI doesn’t stand a chance at getting away with out reading the rest of the sticker. he/she WILL read it.

Youre right on target, I go thru this more often than not with Tee Shirt designs, You can sit and look at it all day long on a screen or paper, NOBODY feels comfortable reading a short novel on ya back, boob, or car window,
I usually do a simple proof on paper of all the info, tape it on a shirt and walk past a potential customer asking him to read it., can you without following me , NO! Put just enough to get a question asked or a phrase stuck in thier mind, and multi color art makes the whole thing even more distracting.
Sorry for telling ya what ya might not want to hear,

Makes a nice bumper sticker to the point.I think we still should go for a member type sticker for when your car is sitting at a show or a track,I think people will ask and other members will know your involved,a way of recognition,and a reward for those that sign up,maybe even require it be put in a certian spot so members will know where to look for other members.I get both sides of the issue.Can anyone post a copy of the LIMA sticker.How is that laid out?Never really got a good look at one.

were not coming in here to bash your sticker, steve and i have had countless stickers on our cars from car clubs etc...we are speaking from experience. i know i am not going to look at a big stick like that at a car show.
i.e. NHRA sticker....its simple and to the point. no break down of what it stands for or the website address. you see that sticker and it just stands out, thats the idea.

THATS COOL. MY PROGRAM CAN'T "BALLOON" the letters like that. Figured you'd get my idea. I just think a lil longer and shorter on the circle around it. kinda like i did makes it more apealing to the eye. less ball shaped more oval. Plus it gives you more room for the web adress, which makes it easier to read.

He made up the NO DRAGSTRIP -NO LEVY bumper stickers for us
The bumper stickers were about $400 for 1000

I agree Mike B. should make the deciding vote.

I have some quote pricing and can tell you that adding more colors will drive the cost up. I would love to add members cars to the decal but the decal itself gets our point and goal across. It will also provide something to give our at 2010 cars shows.

The decals are fairly expensive because I asked for them to be UV resistent and laminated so they will not fade.

Yes. They will be applied to the outside of the window and be UV resistant.

The decal would be about 3" x 5" in size.

It will be placed on the side rear window of members vehicles. It was never intended to be read while driving or placed in the rear window.

The decal would also be used when we sign people up at car shows. When they sign up they receive a decal.

Hi Mike.....the logo looks good. It resembles the NHRA logo but is different enough to maintain it's own identity. I suggest that the top line doesn't wrap around as far as it does. Shorten it to end like, one letter short on each side. I think adjusting the blue bullets to balance the new open area. I think, that would be good to go. Thanks for keeping me in the loop......Bill
