I heard about this forum from Longisland63ss409. Mike and I are in the same car club " The Original Goodfellas". I am 63 yrs old and live in Holbrook. I have been working on cars since I was 13. My father had a shop in New Hyde Park before I was born, so I guess its in my blood. I had a shop in Islip next to the pit road for Islip speedway back in the 70's. I Raced a 68 Chevelle at Islip. Westhampton and was a record holder at NY National. I have had to many cars to list here. I also did the ISCA show car circiut in the 80's. I now have a frame off restored/modified 1980 Vette. I go to cruise nights all over the Island. I just recently finished building a 1959 Vette resto mod, with a Tube Chasis,2008 Vette LS3 t-56 and the list goes on. Unfortunatly the 59 is not mine. I also finished a Factory Five Cobra with a World products 427 for a friend.
I am now building a 1985 Monte SS for my son with a 30 over 454 Gen V.
worked on 2004r and ford 9". Custom interior. I did the car over 7 yrs ago as his first car, but now we are doing it again. This time better than before.

I remember the goodfellas club. Didnt you guys meet up at the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa back in 02 ? We used to meet there on Fri. nights, till it got to big and they shut it down.

Good luck with the Monte build up.

Yes that was our club in 02 at Sunrise untill it got to big and we were asked to stop.

We are the "Original Goodfellas Car Club" there is also another club representing themselves as the goodfellas. We are a NY Chartered Club they are not !

fist welcome......good to have an old geezer here with me....these young kids dont know nothin about good old street racing back in the day.....i had a yellow with black fendered willys overland with a 327 350 four speed in it....we might have run if you hung out on hemp trnpk back in the day.....from franklin square to bethpage ..its was one big dragstrip......with stop offs at wetsons and white castle in hempstead.....what was the shop your dad had?.............................................. ...a hearty welcome aboard

The Strip at Vegas looks like a nice place to race.

One of the best in the country . Parking on asphalt for about almost 1000 cars . Across the street from Nellis Air Force Base so never a problem with noise or a curfew .
