I am impressed that over a hundred people made the meeting since it was conveniently in Hampton Bays. Shows the public is not keen on this project. If the pressure is kept on this can definitely be a DOA. It is amazing that from the meetings prior to the award to Riverhead Resorts where I attended there was nobody in the crowd in favor of the project while on the other hand there were people there for the motorsports park. Just my $.02

doesnt matter if its a good idea or not....the politicians are not selling it to you ...theyre cramming it down your throat....for favors...money...etc.....otherwise...why do you think theyre looking for a ski resort....after its done and it doesnt do good..its over...its abandoned and by that time whoever is in power is long gone...and we lose...

Without a doubt the public will be getting a real humping in the end and it will be the public who will be footing the bill also when this all goes bad.

its the way it always goes....these political wack jobs get voted back in year after year...and we get screwed...tell me why that is so ??? i think the best is to vote against any incumbant till someone listens and is reasonable..

I tell you why they get voted in because people are not that smart and are lazy. If we were to eliminate just 20% of the waste in government there would be no budget problems. Thing is there would be no cut back in real services. God forbid we use common sense in the government. If these people ran a business like they run the government the would be closed in a month. I can not understand why the public lets this happen? What is worse is most people do not vote.

true true..i see that in local elections..they arent out there...but theyre all bitching cause taxes go up and they hate the bastard in office..go figure...they have no right to bitch...the old timers vote....i dont see the younger ones in my district...its more older people...younger ones seem too involved in themselves....
