Hello everybody.
The name comes from when I raced at National Speedway. I had a 48 Anglia with a .030 over 283 with Hilborn injection. That little car ran good!
Now have a 72 Vega with a 355 small block with a split dominator on it. I'll try to post a pic here.

was that Vega ever at JM Performance??? I could have sworn I seen that thing around the Ronkonkoma area when I had my shop over there.
:hello:I always loved Anglias and I own 74 vega and come Sunday a 72 Vega.Is it the way the short wheelbase is fun to drive that makes us buy em.My vegas are wagons though, that might be due to a 56 Nomad I owned in the 70'sWelcome to the show invite your friends.ALL ARE WELCOMED.

Spikeybabe,Richie,Betcha ,Tmac. Thanks for the welcome, feels like I'm in good company and cool cars. (Betcha)The Vega is not on the road so for at least since 1990 when I bought it it hasnt been to Ronkonkoma or J&M performance. Did they move to Setauket? (Tmac) I hear that about the short wheelbase, so far 98 inches handles well, but that Anglia at 90 inch wheelbase was a little hairy lol. Good luck with the Vegas are they powered by small block chevys? I wouldnt mind having a look at them sometime. (Richie) Did you race the Anglia around here? Maybe we have raced eachother in the past. I will try to dig up a picture of the Anglia and scan it so I can post one here, I got a few of them somewhere. Still have some old et slips from 3 tracks on LI that are now closed. NY National, Islip eighth mile and Westhampton. A fourth from Connecticut dragway, thats all thats left is old et slips. If we dont get a track soon I am about to do some work to get the Vega streetable. Pete

I think they did move to the north shore, havent been able to find out where though. If you hear anything let me know, that guy is a wizard with holleys. If that wasn't your car, then you have a twin running around. I only saw the car 3 or 4 times, but i think it has glass windows, but same color.
