well the weather was fantastic today and the cars came from everywhere.....by ten the place had over 500 cars and god knows how many venders and the doors were closed to anymore cars....they were backed up to the LIE..........it was that kinda day................my nova .driven by my son nick and the olds...driven by me...made the trip from whitestone......not a bit of traffic going there.....we left at one....sun burnt and happy....bought a few things from some vendors....and came home...without a hint of traffic either.....it was that kinda day..................all in all.....im now looking forward to the belmont show...queens....in november....

How was the swap meet? I went over to the Pontiac show at King O'Rourke and got caught up talking with GRRRR67RA (he's a friend of mine from way back, haven't seen him in a few years) and the time got away from me so I couldn't make it over to Wicks.

swap meet was great...really alot of venders....row after row.....boys scouts were there making bacon and egg breakfasts.....then later lunch.....lots of giveaways....they had prizes for those who came in as spectators...cars and driver came in free...as usual.....

I got there late (suprise!) and still had a good time. Lotso stuff to see and look at.

Anyone interested this sunday at stafford springs speedway in conn there is a huge swapmeet and car coral . Put on by the ty-rods car club. The date is the 19 of october. Lots of stuff for sale , put on your walking shoes you will need them

its about 150 miles from east meadow take 95 in to conn go to 91 north to 84 east , once on interstate 84 its about 20 to25 miles to the stafford springs exit , just follow the signs to the speedway. if you want you can pick up i 84 at any point and just head east to stafford springs, do a search on line -stafford spings raceway for more info, weather should be good sunday , good day out

hate to say it put it makes wicks road look like a walk in the park, this a really huge swap meet it will probably take you 5 or 6 hours to see it all, and yes like all swap meets there is junk there also, but sometimes you find something you werent looking for that will make the day, its covers the entire race track and spills out side the track also, get there early as it opens at 8 am
