Exhaust question

Where can I buy 2-1/8 OD exhaust pipe? I am not having much luck other than little 18 and 24 inch pieces. Either an eight footer or two four foot lengths would be perfect.

i would say Summit but the smallest they have is 2 1/4"

Kooks Headers in Bay Shore, their website says they've got 2.125 (2-1/8) steel and stainless steel that they sell by the foot.

Jeg's also sells Patriot mild and stainless steel 2-1/8" in 5 foot lengths.

IF you're gonna buy from Jeg's, and if you have an NHRA or IHRA competition license, call them up first and ask to join their racer discount program.... the list price on the 5 foot 2-1/8" diameter mild steel piece is $39.99, it's $5 cheaper when I sign in with my racer discount number.

That's what I thought. The only shop near by that was open saturday was less than receptive to my questions regarding the mere availabilty. The look on the lady's face couldn't have been any worse than if i put vomit on the counter. Parts stores all said the same thing, "there's just no call for that stuff anymore...."

However, problem solved. Herb at Express Mufflers Plus on Montauk hwy.(631-399-1302) in good ol Mastic was very helpful. I knew I would find someone like him, just surprised how tough it was. Man, have things changed.

Well, due to stroke of good fortune, there has been a direction change in the drivetrain. So until I notch my new crossmember, it is still the leaky ol noisy single that I patched together about 5 years ago. Hopefully Herb isn't counting on my business in the next few days....

just get a summit exhaust kit. Its like $250.00 header back, includes mufflers.
