Was told about this site from a friend of mine aka jayman454, looks interesting , would like to see drag racing come back to l i. Been playing with cars for 40 years, raced at national spdwy in the 70s, and on the streets when life was easy, no rights on red , if you remember, to day its a different story. I have a blown 355 chev in a chopped 34 ford sedan, blown twin plug 540 hemi in 41 willys, blown 540 chevy in a tube chassis 67 nova and blown 355 chev in a 67 camaro which i built for my son. When i figure out how to post pictures i will send a few photos of my rides , injection is fine but i"d rather be blown!!!!!

Hey, welcome to the site!

Here's how you can post pictures:

1. Click on "All Albums" up on the top navigation bar.
2. Up on the top left, click on "Add Album"
3. Put in the info for the album... what you want to call it, a description if you want. Make sure "Public" is checked, then click on "Submit".

On the next page you'll have some options for uploading pictures. Click on that and you can then locate the pictures on your computer and upload them. After they're uploaded you can put in some more info about the pictures if you want.

Give a yell if you have any problems.

Hey jay its a 62 corvette and also my 84 corvette, and 95 mustang gt. I lose track of all my cars . There is also a 07 chrysler 300 in the mix too! Also have an 08 big bear pro street chopper and a 02 custom ridged chop. Can i still hang with you guys? Ha ha didnt want to list all my toys at once

Where do you keep them all? You got one of those underground climate controller garages like I see on "lifestyles of the rich & famous"???

Actualy i have 2 oversized garages with a lift in each, one can hold 3 cars the other 2 cars and i have a car stored in hicksville and some sit in the driveways of both my houses, i own the house across from my original home, very convnient to go from one to the other, both setup with tools to work, by the way not really rich or really famous just a life time of hard work and determation playing with cars, making good deals and basicly keeping what i build. My 34 ford i have been with me longer then my wife!!!! Had it for 30 years!!! The wifes been around for 29 years!!! 26 maried!!! I will post some pictures of my cars soon .

Thanks for the compliment tmac. But the line is short but my kids are young, i have 3 boys 14 , 21 ,and 24 if you can get around them your in!!!!!!! But it sure wont be that easy thet know what i got and there just waiting for me to let loose, they have a long wait also by the way!!!!

Wow!!!! I was looking at your albums, some very nice cars, definitely picking up on the theme of the blower. Welcome aboard even though I am jealous. If this is not a prime example of what cars and racing has become, "a family affair I do not know what does". This is what makes this sport fun.

A good thing you can do for us is invite all your buddies to join our cause. All are welcome.The more people the better the effect.

I am curently a 17 year member of the "goodguys rod and custom association" .i dont know if you guys have ever heard of them but they hold events or weekend meets all thru the country. Some of the events have drag strips and the cars can race all day long thru out the weekend! We have thousands of members in the association and i am hoping i can get the word out and maybe get them to focus on long island and help out yours or should i say our cause here on li. I will try to set up a letter to the organization and see if we can get some of the street rod guys to join in our effort to get drag racing back on li like it used to be. I am also a 25 year member of the nsra (national street rod assoc) and will send a copy to that organazation also. Responce like this might take a while because there magazines are about 3 months behind for publication. Lets see what happens , i give no promises but will write them anyway richies blown 34 love to be blown !!!!!
