Anybody go? I got a few calls saying it was the best car show on LI ever.

some friends went....and said it was really good...one of the best shows of the summer....if i get any pics from them..ill forward it .................but alas...i spent the weekend....working.

I actually help run the car show portion of the event. Saturday we had approx 100 show cars and Sunday about 200 cars. George Barris was in attendance for the both days. He actually did the majority of the judging on Sunday. There were also many of Georges TV and Movie car there also. This was a show to raise money to open a Car Museum on LI. Unfortunatly due to high cost of running the show and low entrance fees ,money was actually lost by the Promoter. The Show was a big success as far as the cars and patrons. I have over 1200 photos that were taken for the weekend.
If anyone is interested, NY Custom Coach, the builder of the Batmobile,Tripple X,Speedracer etc will be having a shop tour on Jan 14th at 7:30 PM.

I have the information saved but have to fiquire out how to attach to this forum. I can only reply to this forum by using Explorer. It does not work using AOL. I have the same problem with another Forum I belong to. I will fiquire it out and get the info to you.

Yes its on 112.

Just a little FYI, there has been a lot of security problems with Internet Explorer. Do yourself a favor and download Mozilla- Fire Fox, Its a much better program. Then never use Internet Explorer or AOL (the worst program on the planet) ever again. Anything you do on AOL can be done through FF without opening that big waste of a program AOL. Aim can be downloaded free and use aol.com for your emails. Just a suggestion.

The Information I have is save on my PC recieved thru my email at AOL, I can find away to get over to post thru Explorer. My daughter is a wiz when she gets home from work I'll have her do it or I will just send the info without the actual fancy link.

Daughter cant do it either so heres the story. The East coast rep for George Barris is Andy Perillo, he owns NY Custom Coach . The shop is located at: 198-29 Jamacia Ave Hollis Queens 11423. His Phone is 718 465-5999. This is the shop where they build the TV cars. The recent movie Speedracer car was just built there and the Show car version is now under construction. The original "Batmobile" will be at this event and photos can be taken. There is talk about a Speed TV show (similar to Unique whips) about NY custom coach. There is a possibility that other TV cars will be there but I cant confirm that. For complete info call Andy Perillo . He also requests you bring a chair with you and please RSVP. I believe a 20$ donation is requested, which is tax deductible as the Autoseum is a 501-C-3 charity. The date is Jan 14 7:30 PM.
