Although I never went to Dover I appreciate your post as this is a famillar story especially in the northeast.But the sounds of your post remind me of what we lost here on L.I.,calling the lanes and stuff. It's something we at this site would like to resurrect to keep the sport alive.A true American sport that has spread worldwide but is being squezzed out of business here where it began.But the real thing that puzzles me is the lack of support here to try to get something done.There are plenty of gearheads still here and a whole crop of new ones but when we went around handing out membership flyers and support info the response was minimal.Oh not when you were handing the stuff out people were egar to take one and would shake your hand and thank you for what we were doing but I guess those papers fell between the seats as our membership is only a couple of hundred when I personally handed out a few thousand flyers and others handed out many more then me.I know for a fact if we had the support at some critical times we would probably have a track now or at least one in the works.I'm one that would like to remember opening day and not the last day,for racers now and in the future.
Welcome to the show by the way and thank's for taking the time to maybe energize the masses to maybe get involved.Relive the memories.
