When i checked the casting numbers on the heads i found something interesting:

the casting number is 3947041, I did a lil research and found out:
3947041....69-70...302/350......"Right angle" casting identifier, 64cc chamber, accessory holes, good HP head

Not a bad stock casting, so then I figured check the engine casting, the casting number is 3956618 which could be a 302, 327 or a 350 block. So i wanted to look further, found the ENGINE ASSEMBLY DATE/SUFFIX CODE, the Suffix code is HB:

code - HB year - 1969 C.I.D - 350 Trans. - tur hydro trans. H.P. - 300 carb - 4bbl

So the engine is out of a 69 camaro, RPO code L-48 which is a 350ci, 10.25 : 1 comp. - 300hp and 380ft/lbs of torque.

Not a bad engine to get with the car. with the new cam, heads, intake and bigger carb, this engine should run hard. more pics to come......

Nice space for work! I wish I had a lift.

What are the plans for the new hardware? What heads are you going to and what are you looking to get out of it?:3gears:

I have a set of vortec heads that i had pocket ported, cut the valve guides down for higher lift, got the spring seats cut for double springs, and a set of 1.5 roller rockers. Gotta decide on a cam, i'm going with an air gap int6ake and have a 750 holley
