COME, HANG OUT, CHECK OUT THE CARS, MEET NEW PEOPLE, AND MOSTLY SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR A TRACK. WE'VE BEEN HEARD, NOW WE NEED TO SHOW NUMBERS!!

Oh..and I just emailed Suffolk Life and told them that;
This Sunday the LI Motorsports Association Will be having a car show at the F-14 @ Epcal in Calverton to show support for the plan to build a motorsports park. Come join us, there will be great people, great cars, and great weather. An event not to be missed!

Hopefully i will get a response, or they will just show up

I've e-mailed 3 writers from Newsday that have written articles pertaining to getting a track build on LI and about illegal street racing and the huge risks, I figure these 3 writers would be highly interested. I also e-mailed News 12.

Well I send out all the things posted on this site links etc but I have the email list that Top Gun collected 2500+ names and just figureded it would be easier for me to maintain the list at work where i can do the blast.

I was wondering what happened to that list... I asked Pete to send it to me a couple of times, he never did.

What e-mail address did you send it from? I didn't get it, I want to check to see if it got caught in my spam filter.

I have had the list for years and keep adding to it. There are around 2350 names on it. Some do not work anymore. The list is mailed from andy@cmbcomponents.com. I have been doing all teir emails for 5 years now and have their complete list. That is why I asked you to send me a list of anyone addresses you have so I can add to it. Any time you need something sent just send it to andy@cmbcomponents.com and I can send the blast out at work. We have our own email server so it is easy and fast push one button and in 4 mins they are all sent.

Can you check to see if mikel.beck@elite-computing.net is on that list? I checked my maillog and spam log, I didn't have any mail from the cmbcomponents.com domain.

To everyone, from my personal experience dealing with the press as Andy stated is not easy, but it is a devil you have play with. It is very fustrating and I give alot of credit to Marty, Andy, Alan and others whose name escapes me for carrying the flag on this cause with nothing but BS from all sides. To many chefs ruin the soup, I am sure for as many people are on this board are as many ideas on how this should be done. We must continue to be united to move foward.

Hey Andy for me and chevymadman we have been at it many years like yourself When me and my brother went to the town hall meeting at riverhead, a repersentive from rexcorp said there will never ever be a dragstrip and it was never in the plans anyway. My dreams were a dragstrip not a nascar track. We wasted 7 years of our time and energy trying to make this happen and all they did was blow smoke up everybodys ass. I am all done like you are with this BULLSHIT!!!

I think three pages back someone asked how it was. My .02, great! we got the lower banner on News 12 and 15 seconds of well, exposure. Page 7 in "newsday". What the media boned us on (Particularly News 12) is that every engine that ran there was muffled.
Let me repeat that. EVERY engine that ran was muffled. The pumpkin picking traffic (which "newsday" attributed to our gathering) had vehicles that were louder. We had two Nascar Whelen Modifieds, motorcycles, street machines, and daily drivers. And ya know what? We got "walk in" attention. People asking questions. They seemed interested. And I got to hang out with motorheads and racers and thier families instead of workin' in my yard. What a great day!!

I am done! Wasted 5 years of lots of time and money.

Now its time for all the new people to take over.....seems like they know what to do better.

I will not give up my time and money anymore for the Epcal center. Hell I could have been at the track racing but no I went to Epacl just like I Have been doing for the last 5 years... I would like to know where everyone else was that said they would be there.... Hell I brought 10 people from a local diner with me that had no idea what was going on. They were glad to come and learn about Epacl. How many of you new people went knocking on doors in Riverhead to get signatures on petitions and mail them in.....it is alot more then just showing up on a Sunday for 2 hours.

wow, that brings me back, I was at most of those rallies, the ones at epcal and in Riverhead. Never did the ones in Yaphank. I remember parking waaaaaay down the road in a line of cars at epcal.
