Looks like the plan for Yaphank is changing… surprise, surprise!
From today’s Newsday: Developers respond to Levy’s Yaphank Dream plan (http://www.newsday.com/news/local/longisland/ny-liyaph0508,0,5450023.story)
I was at the Longwood meeting there were many opponents there. One thing Idid find out about there was that the site was completely polluted and really not suitable for housing. One woman at the meeting told me the sleeping quarters had to be built on the second floor because of toxins permeating into the main level. She was quite vocal and seemed to be running the show.A guy named Art and I talked with her after in the parking lot. When I told her I was in support of a race track and not housing she said come to the next meeting. You can find allies in strange places.I'm not saying Yapank whould happen, but how great would it feel to disgrace Levy out of office, deliberatly putting our young struggling LI'ers in harms way just to make aname for himself. The way I see it the best way to eliminate a toxic site is pave over it,a1/4 mile or so.Would someone be interested. It's all politics, you just have to know how to play the game.

When and where is the next meeting?
Mike I wasn't told but I assume there is a site somewhere.Sorry Andy for refering to you as Art as I think you were the other guy who stayed.Andy has areial photos of the site which clearly show the affected area.Does the media know about this? You guys have been at this a while and I and many others appreciate your efforts.I'm basically a spectator of the sport, but I can't get enough.Watching pinks, and NHRA on tv isn't like being there.I commute to Manhattan six days a week 24 hrs of commute time.
and onthe seventh there was Levy pointing to Jersey.Don't forget the spectators we are many, but many don't know about you.Talk to Andy I gave him a couple of things I wrote.
I was right tye first time Art Bichsel was the guy at Longwood. He took notes wrote apiece on top gun site. One of the ideas I gave him was to go to the vendors of the motor industry locally and put mailings and event stuff where the grassroots could learn about the goings on.I did this in the Patchogue & Medford area at some places with the no levy mailing and results were good.I left 50 at each local w/bumper sticker for theie parts beaters. Many shops have distributed 100's.I printed 1500 and have 300 left.

I have the report with the spills/plumes
They know about the plumes....They is LEVY knows the plumes are there..
People are backing this mental midget...wtf is wrong with them...
A lady said to me what is that bumper sticker for, i told her to get people to wake up and vote the liar out of office....she said he is doing good for the county....
I said really... what has he done to effect your everyday life positively....i told her that doesn't include going on the news or having a press release and talking about something....i said what has he DONE
It's been about a week and a half, she has my number, she hasn't a answer yet..
But the blind flock believe he is good.....right keep your eyes closed people and listen to blank and meaningless dribble
