I received this article in an email this week.
Car had a roll bar but not cage.

The driver's "A" pillar says it all why you should have a cage.

A.....I hope his is doing OK..... But, His helmet came off? That tells me, he never fastened it.May as well not have it on.
And I must say, that even when we ran Super comp....we wore a Hans as well .It was not required, but we wore it.

B......The more safety the better. Not saying this to tear this guy up, just making the point.

At the end of the day everybody should go home. It's why they make rules and why we need a safe alternative here, it saves lives.

stands to reason....fast car...saved money on a cage....which was a big mistake.....then gets in it and doesnt fasten his helmet....wonder what other shortcuts he took.....shame people get hurt from thier own stupidity......hopefully after he heals he will do it right next time...
