We are going to be like any other org but with motorsports as our only function and fight...

I would also like the LIMA to back fund raisers that involve motorsports oriented activities and help our own people succeed at getting into other areas

Shafts I've always thought the idea of one voice was the way to go.In numbers there's strength.Would this site be set up so we will be able to link to other sites like this one as say(divisions of ie;drag racing,oval,dirt,karting ect)and LIMA be like the mothership as pertaining political action,fund raisers and the like.Mike's put a lot of time into this site and carried the tourch when Top gun disappeared.This site has driven much of what is happening today and should be recognized for the effort.

Absolutely, i have always wanted to be able to have a one voice plan like other orgs, but unlike other orgs we can be the biggest in l.i. Keep in mind as some of you know when you walk around 5 and 4 years ago and bring this up to people we got more bs from our own community then we got support...im tired of hearing it won't work...what won't work is keeping quiet and when someone says no we walk away quietly like in the past
This is the way we will get recognized...
Right now we don't get recognized as much as we should...only because were us, just people standing together, but that is what will make us stronger, we stuck thru this with nothing and no name...
A few professional places that deal with orgs don't recognize us and are waiting to see how we do in our 1st 6 months before they come on board with anything to say on our behalf..
So i am excited at this finally happening....BUT without the people this will be just as hard as it is now, but we'll finally have a place of our own and not need new petitions all the time being chased around all over and new contact info we'll be able to stay put at one place all the time and do everything and have a central place where news can get to us and we can get to them and people can get directly thru to whats what without all the messages getting afu and them losing interest...
Just think hopefully next year at this time we can have 30,000 and not lose them or there interest since we won't be chasing eachother all over anymore and they can hear it directly without the bs control and rumor mill stirring the pot

I spend more time explaining to people whats up and fixing rumors then i get thru to.....a lot of you follow me around to different boards you see what happens, then i forget which ones were having what dilema with what rumor and don't get back and that's even worse, then sites get malfunctions and make it a problem for me to get back on...not purposely but a glich and then i don't come back...and it looks bad as if i abondoned effort

I wanted to have limotorsports.com also but do to not acting when i should have 2 years ago i lost that, so i got .org and .net

Backlash from Town Board Vote on EPCAL Hits Hard

The backlash from the Town Board Vote on EPCAL, has taken on its own life. It only took a day after the vote for the people to come out against the Town Board Vote for the Ski Mountain and 90 acre lake project. Everything from petitions to rallies have been started. Considering that Supervisor Cardinale has done nothing for almost four years why would he rush into this decision right before an election? Could this really cost him the election? Only time will tell.

I went to address the legislators at there monthly meeting on our behalf...

On that day i was shocked at all the illegals standing in plain site on govt soil protesting....protesting for there RIGHTS! !! ! !

I had to wait 2.5 hours before i got my chance to address them...due to people wanting them to stay....

A nun asked me why i was there and told her about our plight...i then stepped into that hole and asker her..why are you here..she said she was helping the illegals...

I said to her so you are helping people break the law, i told her as a chatholic i would not condem you for helping if one needed food or shelter and you helped them back to the country they belong to...but what you are doing now is wrong..It's nothing different then the churches position on abortion..it's wrong and you don't do it...just as it's wrong to come here illegally...same thing

I didn't give her a response, i was at this point boiling listening to idiot after idiot go in and plead for the illegals be allowed to stay, i almost went in there and forgot why i was there... after i said what i said i got a little ruffled and had to walk away from her or i was going to get very abrasive..
