John won, Kenny crossed the centerline (hitting the timming cone) before the finishline. John didn't cross the line until after the finshline. Made the countdown to 1 by 4 points.

I saw that last night on TV. That was unbelievable. I am glad that the injuries were not more severe, eventhough any is to much.

John did win and he was supposed to go up against either Cruz or Tony Pedregon in the semi finals. Ashely was gonna go up against the other. She didn't race since she went with her dad so the Pedregon Boys raced each other in the finals. Tony won.

I can't really tell from that angle if the cone went under Forces car. Unfortunately, that's the only footage I've seen. Can a cone rip a car in two? At 300+ miles an hour I guess anything is possible.

Hard to tell, from what the folks with HD are saying you can clearly see some debris from the cone (perhaps the reflector) go under the tire just as it comes apart, but Forces motor was going south also (flames get real funky right before it) so he could have kicked the rods out and run over his own trash. There was also some tire chunking happening on Sunday. I think the NHRA prepped the track good expecting high 90's and upper 120 track temps, but the cloud coverage and passing shower kept it cool and the bite over took the tires. Still don't believe we're getting the whole story from Goodyear and the NHRA

At 300 mph you wouldn't want anything touching that tire...remember these aren't run flats
