Hey guys,
Cool website. I'm an x-nuyawka. Born and raised in Selden. Moved to Winston-Salem, NC back in 1990. Still have most of my family on long Island. My name is Guy. I'm 40 years old. I have two 1970 Mercury Cougars. One XR7 and m-code Eliminator. My brother Mark in Selden has a 1980 BB Z28. He told me about the proposal for a track and that's how I stumbled on your site. I wish you guys the best of luck. I'm kinda spoiled down here, we're surrounded by Dragstrips. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello to guys.
BTW, I signed the petition. (#33) GL

Welcome Aboard. Your The Smartest Guy Here, you Left.how Is It Down In Your Area.? A Good Friend Of Mine Is Getting Married And Looking To Move To N.c.? I Have My 5yr Plan( Hopefully Executed Early) I Am Also Looking To Move To North Carolina, Ocean Side.i Have Visited Greensboro. It Actually Is Very Developed, But Nicely Spread Out. My Wives Dad Has 11 Acres There With A 3,000ft Custom Built Home. His Taxes Are Only 1,500 Per Year.
We Went To A Local Prehistoric Meuseum, Ate At An Awesome Thai Restaurant And A Louisiana Style Restaurant .the Food Was Good As Any Nice Place In Manhattan( I Should Know I Lived In Manhattan For 2yrs And Have A Culinary Arts Degree). We Also Went To ( Get This) A Very Large ,modern And New Shopping Mall.it's Funny How All The Ignorant People In N.y. Think All Of N.c. Is Sheds And Moonshine Stills.lol.
Unfortunatley We Only Could Stay For A Few Day's But The Flight To Greensboro's International Airport From N.y. Was Only 1 Hour
And 15 Min.i Barely Had Time To Finish My Bag Of Peanut's.OH i almost forgot to ask, I drive commercial class A HAZMAT truck , how's the trucking buisness down there I assume it must be pretty good?

TheNative1, You in luck in many ways. Greensboro is the home of Piedmont Dragway. It's a nice 1/8 of a mile track. It's only an hour to Rockingham raceways 1/4 mile track. 45 minutes to Farmington 1/8 mile track. And you have Richmond, VA and Bristol, TN within a couple hours. And if your into NASCAR there is unlimited oval tracks down here. They have a huge car show/swap meet at Lowes motor speedway twice a year. (1.5hrs) As for work. Trucking is big business down here. Greensboro is gonna be the trucking capital of the US when they open the new FedEx hub at GSO airport. Literally thousands of jobs are coming with them. And one last thing. My wife is a Broker/agent for Coldwell Banker of the Triad. She specializes in Greensboro. She can really hook you up when your ready to come south. Tell your friend if he needs an agent.<--a plug for the wife... Taxes are cheap. Car insurance is cheap. Housing is cheap. You got the mountains within hours. The only negative is the Beach is hours away. But they are beautiful blue water beaches. Good luck with your plans. I'm sure they will work out for you.

Small world... Your brother Mark's ex-wife Stacy hangs out with my wife's ex-fiance down in Arizona these days. She (my wife) is the former Lisa Mahoney. She knows you, and Mark of course.

Oh yeah, Tell Lisa I said hello. The name Stacy is a name I haven't herd in a long time. Hopefully will never hear it again. lol.. If I remembering right she was messing around with a guy named John.? Nice Duster. My brother Vinny had a 340 Demoon back in the day. You running a Big Block? Where do you race it? Maybe we can hook up some time. I go to Long Island atleast twice a year. Usually for one of the Holidays and 2 weeks in July. I had a 70 Cougar Eliminator clone back in the mid to late 80's. If i can figure out how to insert an image I'd show it to you. You might remeber it.
