Need ideas of upcoming shows?

wicks road show is this comming sunday.......free admission with car......or you can get a spot if you like to sell your shit...pay at the gate....cars after 10 pay to get in...so get there early......as they usually wind up turning cars away because the field gets full pretty fast.....largest car show..and the best on long island....in my humble opinion....

I would like to work the booth again. I can't guarantee being there, my Dads not doing to well. But I could probably help set it up and get it going. I've got business cards to give out and flyers, I could leave that stuff with you guys if I can't hang around. Mike did that generator workout? Would be nice if we had some member cars around the booth. Mikel you could rent a uhaul $19.00 a day

Tested the generator tonight.

I plugged the electronic tree computer into a surge protector to protect it from electric surges.
The generator works good now.

I also purchased led amber lights to replace the 100W amber bulbs.
The led's only draw 5W each.

Vendors have to be there at 6:30am. I was thinking going there around 6-6:15am.

I will have the tent, LID banner, Christmas tree, Generator and any flyers I have left.
Also will bring the signup Petition sheet.

Terry: Hope your father feels better.

I think you really need to get on the same page as LIMA, there are a lot of developments going on right now that you should know about BEFORE you talk to the public.

Why don't you fill us in?

Well it appears we are in a good position again. I'm sure the folks that are against us are fully aware and are getting their game face on. The first piece of the puzzle is that the contract between Riverhead Resorts and the Town of Riverhead needs to be canceled. The Town Supervisor very coyly repeated what Councilman Dunleavy has been saying to anyone who will listen. Councilperson Giglio reminded all that in order for anyone else to come forward, the contract needs to be out of the picture. No one present disagreed with her statement. Other than that and being disrespected by the Town Supervisor repeatedly and some vague non related technicalities mentioned by Councilman Dunleavy, our speakers had their say. Stay tuned for Nov 3.

They were right in the front of the first aisle. If you went in the side (from the parking lot) they would have been right in front of you.

Man it was a great show we actually had lines for the petition signup sheets. I only wish we had the band announce that we were there and where we were. I met a lot of great people. Alot of guys with great stories pictures. One guy stopped by he wants to build a museum vcars.com is his site. I sent him to LIMA to get a hold of Marty and get hooked up with Marty Himmes and Howard Kroplick. Good seeing,Tom, Perry, Mike and his son. He's got his kid taking pictures now, hundreds he said. It was a packed house. If you came after 1:00 that's why you didn't see us. I wish we could have stayed all day cause the response was the best we ever had with the booth and people were comming after we packed up. Life was calling and we had to go. It was like a reunion people were hanging out and seeing people they hadn't seen since LID. If we could get all our eggs in one basket and had a viable investor this would be a cakewalk.

We got about 300 signatures for the petition!
I will add them to the database.

The response from the crowd was awesome.
We had the tree running from the generator in demo mode.
The lighted tree grabbed peoples attention.

I arrived at 6:30am and left at 1:30pm. When I arrived at 6:30am there were about 50 people ahead of me.
I asked to be put by the vendor area since I had the tent and tree and did not want to be next to any judged cars.

Nice to see everybody and thanks again to all that were able to help out - LID teamwork :headbang:

Thanks for your getting the booth going Mike, with all your goodies, it been getting better each show we do. This one was the best by far. It really started taking off this time only one runaway. I think he thought I was selling shamwows. The word got out and they came to us. My voice lasted the whole time. Gotta do a Nassau show in the future.

No problem.
Getting the word out is helping our goal.

I wanted to do the Belmont Show on Nov 6/7th but have to work that weekend.

Does anybody know of any shows after this one in Nassau?
