I talked with Peter Busacca this afternoon who will be running against Levy this fall. He will be running on the Integrity Party, row "F" on your ballot. He is a car guy (Mercedes club) and is sympathetic to ALL our concerns. He understands that we need motorsports venues and will support us. I gave him the web address of this forum and hope that he will weigh in here in the near future when he gets a moment. I will certainly cast my vote for him and avoid Levy like the plague.

Mr.Levy is a strong contender for re-election to avoid him is a grave mistake,to corner him on issues like ours is how you get to him.Mr.Busacca may well be a great candidate and by learning Levy's mind he stands a better chance.Levy is very popular(maybe not here) but everyone has their faults. To make an enemy of him bad idea.To play politics with him good idea.He must be made to take firm stands publicly so Mr.Busacca can counter.Thats politics who ever wins or loses you can still achieve your goal.

What Rock Have You Been Under. Levy Came To The Meetings!!!. He Pumped His Fist And Said (i Guess Everybody Want,s To Race). The Place Went Nut,s .
He Told People He Wanted It . He Stood Next To Cooper On Tv And Vowed To Find A Place To Race To Stop The Street Racing. Thousands Of Letter,s Were Sent. And He Lied Through His Teeth. Why Do You Think The Whole (no Dragstrip= No Levy) Came About . Cause He Went On Tv News12 And Said( All These Guys Work Hard All Week And Are Looking For A Place To Blow Off Some Steam) Well F U Levy. We Have Been Lied To For So Long Time For A Change. Threr Are Alot Of Idiot,s That Like Him But The Number Of People That Are Sick Of His Bull Shit Has Been Growing Fast And Steady . He Think,s He Is Untouchable But Time Will Tell (no Dragstrip= No Levy)

Levy has both both major parties as well as the Conservative and Independence lines.
I first heard about you guy's around May this year totally by accident.I was told some racers were having a rally about the lack of a motorsports facility on L.I..I was interested .Being how I work in Manhattan 6 days a week and I use to like riding my bike out to West Hampton to watch drag racing on most Sundays for a couple hours to unwind,I missed it,I was pissed that my one thing I enjoyed was taken away.I don't have the time to go to Jersey or time or money to work on my car which has sat for 12 years. If I'm ill informed that would be the fault of the racing community who run in small circles. With that in mind after I went to the captree rally I thought it was a good cause but nobody knows. So since then I've been promoting this site wherever I can on my own knowing if a place is built I'll never race there,no problem I love to watch.I'm just trying to do the right thing,no hero here.As far as Levy goes I'm no fan of him or any politician for that matter. The voices may change but the breath is always the same. But I stand by what I write.

Hey guys I have not been on the boards in awhile because I am sick of all the bullshit. I just feel that Top Gun screwed us over along with Mr Levy and now it seems like the same thing is happening over at Calvaton. We know that they don't want a dragstrip on LI already. Hey Fordboy and Don I agree I would not vote Levy in he's a shithead and a liar but we all know that already. By the time a track is built on LI cars will be a thing of the past!!!
57TOM being new to the show I mean no disrespect you may have spent a lot of time in the past on this.BY posting things like track will never be built is a defeatist attitude.True it may never happen, and unfortunately going around handing out flyers some people say just that.In response I say do nothing get nothing.Trying to make people believe rather than call it a day is key.Thats what killed West Hampton.I know everyone says the owner sucked and greed was his motive. In it's hayday, under his ownership,he put on some good events, but as locals got futher up his ass people turned their backs on him.You can't blame a guy for cutting his losses.Everyone let a bad situation get worse before trying to stop the bleeding. There are a lot of stories about the demise, but the main reason was few were involved in the rescue effort. There was a good case for emminant domain there.

It Was Not Just Greed The Penguin Was Offerd More Money To Sell The Hamptons And Keep It A Track. But That Would Just Have Showed Every Body That With A Good Crew And A Little T.l.c. The Track Would Have A Great Track. But That Never Happend . He Just Ran It Into The Ground . The Most Expensive Track To Get In,no Payout, one Person Running The Whole Track,no Fire Equipt.,no Speedy Dry, No One To Put It Down, No Way To Clean It Up, .lets Not Even Get Started On Food, Or Bathrooms. Nothing Like Wanting A Butterd Roll And Getting A Hamburger Roll With Margerine On It!!!! For Two Buck,s With Swill Water Coffee . ( Hope I Gave Some Of You A Good Chuckle Of The Way It Was )

Very True,I used to bring my own broom and leaf blower, first to clean the broken glass where I wanted to park in the pits and then the starting line where the dirt blew during the week!

Yea The Good Ol Days Half Hour Away No Traffic, Bridges , Or Toll's.
I watched the rise and the demise just like everyone else but community pressure had a lot to do with the demise. The Bartone's looked at that deal and wanted no part of it mainly due to local resistance.I agree caminiti let the place go to sht but with all he invested do you think with all the restrictions he was making money.Obviuosly he's a bad businessman sell to the lower bid!You forgot sinkhole in staging lanes, toilets flush up or fill up.I kinda liked the pretzels though or were they hot dogs?

Night Was Great ,who Was Late On The Tree, The Sun Was In My Eyes , I Didn't Hook, The Other Guy Wouldn't Stage And , My Car Was Breaking Up. It Was Great. Just Another Thing To Look Back And Laugh. It,s A Shame That Such Great Time,s May Never Be There For The Up And Comming Kid,s To Start There Own Memories Of Racing On Long Island. Anyone Remember When The Ambulance Backed Over The Starting Tree
Yea The Good Ol Days Half Hour Away No Traffic, Bridges , Or Toll's.
When I ran there weekly in 1978, Sunrise was at grade intersections with traffic lights. The trip from W. Islip was an even hour! Things certainly changed a couple of times.

Tell Mr. Bussaca to debate levy and start with this question....
What have you done to make a simple positive impact on everyones daily life in suffolk county.....
(levy's answer here )
Mr.Bussaca....no sir i didn't ask you what have you spoke about to make a simple impact on everyones daily life i asked what have you done to make what you speak about H A P P E N that is the difference...
Now ask yourself the same question what has he done.....
Then ask yourself what is so hard about having payroll tax rather then everything on property only....
Then grab a gun and meet me and lets take back what is ours and do it our damn selves and be done with all this bs of either nothing or hurry up and wait
Shafts consumption tax is the best deal,it would make illegales pay their fair share making them less competitive, hence making the job market more lucrative for Americans.
More memories of West Hampton the lovely Lake Parkolot, try riding through that on a Harley(hey I make bubbles),lot o tickets curbside parking, spectator side bleachers(The only drag strip in America with seesaw seating the lighter guy got a better view)With all that was wrong you put up with it because when you left for the day you felt alright.Dam I miss that place.Triangle cold beer good burgers thats what bars are for.

How does consumption tax work when there paid out of the lime light....
Consumption tax is still not going to make property tax less.....
The only people paying for everything on the island are people that own homes or property......
So if they do not remove a large burden off of property tax and make it payroll tax where there are thousands and thousands of people working and contributing nothing then.....
So that means that the only people that should have anything to say are those paying for it
How does consumption tax work when there paid out of the lime light....
I think that's the key to the point Tmac was trying to make. If they are working for cash, there is no opportunity for a payroll tax. Where as if the tax was say, on your grocery bill (everybody eats) the burden would be I think more fairly spread. Or I think that's what the idea was.
The consumption tax idea taxes things you buy.Food, medical and basic clothing are usually exempt. It basicly taxes items are the extras in life,so if you buy something your a tax payer regardless of legal status. It makes people control their own money not the government that's why you will never see it happen. The government uses the race game and says it against the poor but it's not.The government wants you to need them, but what do they really do for you oh I know they take away your privilege to race legally making you illegal.
