Please fill out and send a request to Al Anabi Racing to investigate the investment of the 755 acres at Calverton for a dragstrip.
In your request indicate that the RR deal now has a deadline and the property might be coming available again.
Minimal investment is required since the 7,000 ft runway already exists.
Al Anabi Racing is big in NY Motorsports and hosts the Shakedown at Etown in October.

Should be sending letters to Bruton Smith... your own words... no chain letters..
He is looking to add to his multi venue operations....
The more he gets, the chance he looks here again is a possibility

Alot is happening everyday and the more eyebrows we raise the better.
What's the worst that can happen. A bidding war for track investors?

Terry, Powell8 and myself walked and talked the beat today at Sayville promoting LID and LIMA.
Great feedback. Most people did not even know what was happening in Riverhead.
We need to spread the word more. People are listening when they hear the facts that Riverhead Town has set a deadline for Riverhead Resorts.
For the record I sent a letter to Bruton by email and Post Office and never got a response.

Every effort to make sure the people are behind the needs and wants for a facility 1st is most important for the builder who comes in to want to build a track IS WHAT COUNTS, the builder is secondary....
WE have had 6 builders already Mike.....
What you don't get is the support WASN'T, ISN'T there.... 6 builders, all huge money, no facility... 6 times, no support, just a handful...or petition letters that didn't, haven't worked
L.I. isn't a normal area to build in, projects need support 1st here..... then they move ahead...

How long have i been telling EVERYONE, the most important JOB you can do is exactly the one you just started doing.
Bruton Smith is the only person looking to build other motorsports facilities... So it would make more sense to get the man LOOKING to interested in the AREA showing the most support...
That should be on fliers you hand out... I'll bet maybe 70 people actually did it
I've sent letters to both in my own words and expressing my involvement with both of our organizations and the feedback I get when I'm out there talking it up. In the past there use to be several people out there doing the same thing, now it seems to be a few Mike is one of those few. I believe having the support of the public and the stats of the number of racers and fans on L.I. are important but I also feel a major part of the picture is to get political support as they are the last word and this election season gives us the best opportunity to pull that end of the issue off. The time is near the problem is we need more people to spend a little of their time to get out there and spread the word, contact their politicians and give their input and ideas here. If each one of us donated the time it takes to go to Jersey and back just once we could turn heads. The question is it worth it to all of you people out there to spend a couple hours of your time to get it done. Nobody is going to go out of their way to help us financially, politically or any other way unless they know we exisit. Many even in the motor sports community don't even know about us. What does that tell you! Go to a show or cruise and give it a shot. It isn't hard if you go there anyway. The windshield flyers work. Write or call your public officials it only takes a minute. Believe it can happen and it will all it takes is a strong showing of support. I know many are thinking we did the rallies were at the meetings. That was then property was worth more then the economy was better then. Times have changed and the government is broke they will do anything for a buck even support motor sports.

I read a post somewhere but can't find it and I responded to it in the same way, but it did state that the bullett was busting their butts to get a track also.

It appears (A) my medication is either making me see things (B) the reason I'm taking it has gotten worse or (C) I'm spending too much time doing this stuff and I'm dreaming about it. I do have weird dreams at times that seem like they were real.:confused:

etc.
Well you can address/witness the Riverhead Town Board tonite. I'm pretty sure they start at 7:30. 200 Howell Avenue Riverhead, NY 11901 631-727-3200 The atv topic is "hot button" since that story in the North Shore paper. If I can get out of work early enough, I will be there.
Everything else I would rather meet at a diner and talk about.
