Well I had a good weekend, the motor and tranny are back in the car. I'll snap some pics during the week.

I'm reasonable hoping for a low low 12, I would love an 11 out of it. I'll be to the track the week after it's done. Still a long way to go. I just hit up my boss for a couple of days off to get more done.

Where would you go, Island or Etown? Let me know when you are going. If I can make it, I'll go with you.

I've never been to island, I wouldn't mind checking it out. They points race on Saturday right? I think that would be cool so you still have Sunday off with the family. I want to race in the points next year.

Then Island is for you. It took me 2 hrs 40 min. from Ridge. Left my house at 8 AM. Coming home is not much different. Even tho its maybe an additional 15-18 miles more than Etown, the trip is WAY better, scenic even. Its run very well and you can even leave your car at the track all season--just drive there with the little 4 cyl. economy car. I'll probably go again in 3 weeks or so. Let me know when your car is done.

Let me know before you go again in 3 weeks. I'm going away the end of August, if you go before that I'm in. My buddy who I usually go with has a hole in his oil pan from his last time out, I don't see him going any time soon. But I'm in!

OK. August 11th, 18th or 25th? The 11th and the 18th are not just another points day but have added events, so they might be crowded. The 25th is a regular points day. There's always Etown on most any Friday nite for T&T and a gamblers race. I can go any of these dates.

Anyone going to E-town this Sunday for the Funny car reunion and nostalgia drags? A bunch of my buddies and I plan on running our cars this Sunday weather permitting.
