Email I received today from Maple Grove.

Driver and spectator information.

Pinks All Out

Registration begins at noon on Monday, February 1!

All registration will be done online

Drivers, take your keyboards!

Registration for this big event could be over in the time it takes a car to race a quartermile

The phones have been ringing for weeks at Maple Grove Raceway. Drivers who want to take part in the popular "Pinks All Out" want to know when they can register their car.

The answer can finally be revealed: Registration will be done via the Internet on Monday, Feb. 1 at high noon. There will be a link at www.maplegroveraceway.com to direct you to registration. The fee is $60.

We have room for 450 cars, and the slots will be given out on a first come, first serve basis.

You have to be quick. These shows have been known to fill up fast. Last month, Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, opened up registration for its event and all the slots were filled in only two minutes.

Demand was so high (there were 9,000 racers trying to register), there were phone and Web outages all over the city.

A good reaction time will be a must!

Spectator tickets will be available, too

Those of you who want to watch Rich Christensen and his crew do their stuff can purchase spectator tickets starting at noon on Feb. 1.

Prices are $15 for Friday, $25 for Saturday or $35 for the full event.

How many are possibly going?

Headcount?

UPDATE from Maple Grove:

Due to the overwhelming demand of PINKS All Out racer registration, we have elected to offer a special lottery drawing for up to 50 more cars. To be eligible for the lottery drawing, please compete the form or call the Maple Grove Raceway office to enter the lottery.

We will accept names until Friday, Febuary 5th at 12 noon. Once the lottery is closed we will have an “at random” drawing for the 50 entries who will have the opportunity to purchase a race entry. Maple Grove Raceway will notify the lucky 50 by email or phone starting on Monday, February 8th.

Form can be found http://www.maplegroveraceway.com/blog/?page_id=1448

Long Island has winning dragracing talent!

The 2009 Pinks All Out that I attended at Zmax in NC was won by a former Long Islander.
While walking the pit area I came across two Long Islander's competing in the event.

Englishtown in 2008 quick eight was won by a friend from Dix Hills and another friend was selected
but the group was rejected due to a sand bagger in the group.

Any other Long Islanders?

We knew what it was. You did us proud. I couldn't get over how it ended and the guy with the 280 Z what was his issue he clearly moved. Weren't they using replay? Your car looked great.

I just watched it tonight, you did a great job. You looked like a guy who was just having a great time and wasn't getting involved with all the nonsense that was going on there.

I saw the LIDR decals on the car a bunch of times, the only thing I can saw is that they need to be bigger. Or we should have some hats made up or something. Maybe a huge decal to go on the roof of the car. I knew what it was cuz I've seen the decals but I'm sure nobody else (who hasn't been on this site) would be able to identify them.

Hey from what I could see you had a great time and walked away with ten grand. With your car on the end of the line up you could see the logo decal on the side window in a lot of shots. We knew what it was. You did us proud. I couldn't get over how it ended and the guy with the 280 Z what was his issue he clearly moved. Weren't they using replay? Your car looked great.

i didnt understand it either.....about how they insisted the light didnt go out when you saw that it did before the hand drop??? were all these people blind????......didnt they bring that guy to the monitor and rerun the damn run so he can see plainly that the light went out??????? wtf?????.......and that other fat ass that came and said...if you dont rerun that race im never going to watch your show again....good ...one less moron ....guess the needed the money to save the homestead...when you look at don and others showing good sportsmanship and the love of the race..they were enjoying every min of it.....its refreshing.....those other stood out like a sore thumb.....

Best line from the show, "its Christmas in Pennsylvania"

The Datsun was still deepstaged, which was legal in the past, but they did show Rich saying in the drivers meeting deepstaging will get you booted.

It did look like Don was having fun, glad you won. I saw a bunch of LID cars :(

That fat ass was a track official. The rules were clearly stated at the beginning like GT said and I'd have to agree with you on the best line in the show. Maybe fat ass was Sanie Claus in disguse because his rant seemed to rattle the show and Don just did what he does even when he was taken out by the Mustang he did it like a pro. He earned his stripes. If you want my opinion I think Pinks should focus on racers tracks not event tracks and give the smaller operators their due. They are the real part of keeping the sport alive the grassroots. Just my opinion though.

It all boils down to the the roll of the dice,if the datsun did not jump,if that caliper did not leak,if the camaro did not use the "brake" and just idled down the track waving, and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if Don would have been in the left lane. All in all,it was an incredible weekend to say the least and a show that went down into PINKS ALL OUT history!!!It was an honor for me to be part of it.

Dons car gets the same attention on every show. Too bad we didn't make bigger decals.

I haven't watched it in it a while.

Next year he should put some huge "LIDragRacing" decals on the doors, roof, trunk lid, back window... So when he wins again we'll get some good promotion. :2215:

PINKS ALL OUT is HISTORY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess the rumors were true.

SPEED announced today that grassroots drag-racing television show, PINKS All Out, is taking a hiatus from producing new episodes for 2011.

The most recent episode shot at Firebird International Raceway in Phoenix, which premieres in February, represents the 43rd produced since its inception at the Texas Motorplex during Labor Day Weekend of 2006. The PINKS property has been on SPEED since July 2005, starting with PINKS, and extending to PINKS All Out and PINKS All Outtakes.

“PINKS All Out has been one of the most successful television shows in network history,” said Hunter Nickell, SPEED President. “SPEED would like to thank all the dedicated fans, grassroots racers, track management, the on-air team, Pullin Television and its production crew, SPEED affiliates and all the show’s sponsors over the past four seasons for their support; we couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who’s been associated with the show.

“However, after visiting 34 drag strips in four seasons of production throughout the United States, the network feels the current show model needs further evaluation to determine what new direction we want to take the property,” Nickell added. “The PINKS brand has equity within the drag-racing community, especially at the grassroots level. It’s our hope to continue developing quality grassroots motor sports programming out of what everyone has built with PINKS. It’s a process we are currently undertaking.”
